Welcome to Eat314!

  • What is Eat314?

A food blog for all things food in the St. Louis area.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet if you found this, my name is Kayla. I grew up in the St. Louis/St. Charles area, moved away after college for my husband who was in the military, and now we are back in the St. Louis area.

After living in San Diego and the Washington D.C. area, we were worried about the food scene in St. Louis, but we definitely shouldn’t have been. We are going to eat our way through St. Louis and tell you all about it – the good, the bad, and the most unique.

Along with us, we will be bringing our toddler to let you know of the kid friendly, the not kid friendly, and those that are iffy about being kid friendly.

We hope that you will join us on this fun new adventure around the St. Louis culinary scene!

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you from St. Louis?

Long story short, no. I am originally from O’Fallon, MO and my husband, toddler, and I now reside in St. Charles, but we spend almost all of our days off in St. Louis County or St. Louis City.

What is the point of this page?

My husband and I LOVE going to get food and drinks, but we sometimes struggle with finding information about the location, especially all in one location. I hope to provide you with all of the information you might need, such as if children are allowed and if they have highchairs, or what you should wear to the spot and to help take any guesswork out of your outing.

How frequently do you post?

My goal is to post at least one new spot a week starting Fall of 2025, until then, there may be some sporadic posting to start getting some content out, but I’m not considering the blog technically “launched” until this fall.

Can I interact with the posts?

Every new spot I go to will have a comment sections. Please let me know if you have been and what your thoughts on the location are. Every post also has feedback button, and I would love for your recommendations if there were somewhere that you think I need to go.
